About Motete

With energy and enthusiasm in abundance, Motete prides himself on having the knowledge and diverse professional skills to serve his clients, and a refreshing ability to help sellers and buyers feel at ease. His passion for building long-term working relationships is clear from the outset, where he takes the time to get to know you and find out exactly what you need.  After all, he knows that the decision to buy or sell a property can be an enormous milestone; supportive relationships and networks often make all the difference.

He says, “I want to make sure your property journey with me is easy, stress-free, reliable, and an all-round amazing experience.”

Like many agents, Motete genuinely loves the privilege and thrill of helping connect people with properties. However, he actually came to real estate by an uncommon route that gave him a unique and useful perspective on his work. His first roles in hospitality helped him forge solid communications, customer service and management skills – all of which are the base for any successful agent. Yet his interest in property and architecture led him next to a career in construction. In this high-pressure environment, he gained valuable knowledge of building materials and styles, problem-solving and building suitability that can often come in handy when assessing a property’s potential.

Motete is enthusiastic about going to great lengths so his vendors have as many options as possible. In the current market, he knows responsiveness and flexibility can make all the difference. “I look forward to helping my sellers make the most of various channels to reach potential buyers and showcase their property’s best features.” And even after the sales agreement is signed, Motete likes to ensure his clients remain satisfied. “I like to build long-term relationships with my clients, so even after the agreement is settled and done, I’m here to help with anything if they need it in the future.” He takes pride in being one of the few I-Kiribati agents within the industry!

Questions

The things sellers ask Motete first.

Is the appraisal really free?
Yes — there's no cost and no obligation. Motete will walk you through what your property could achieve, based on recent local sales and current buyer demand.
What happens after I submit the form?
Motete will be in touch personally, usually within a business day, to arrange a time that suits you — over the phone or in person at your property.
Am I committing to anything?
No. An appraisal is information, not a commitment — there's no obligation to list with Motete, and none to sell at all. Plenty of people ask for one simply to understand where the market sits before deciding anything.
What's the difference between an appraisal and a valuation?
An appraisal is provided free by a licensed salesperson and reflects what the market is likely to pay right now. A registered valuation is a paid, formal assessment by an independent registered valuer, and is what banks and courts rely on. Most people selling a home need an appraisal; a valuation is usually only needed for lending or legal reasons.
