Profile

About Gurinder

Gurinder Dhatt qualified as a real estate salesperson over 20 years ago in 1998 when he successfully conducted business in sales, property development/investment and property management within the industry. Over 3 decades he has witnessed a variety of markets and a range of property industry trends which these days equip him well for real estate consultation in this fast-changing world. Joining Ray White Manukau in 2020, following an illustrious career in the media and film industry, Gurinder brings invaluable marketing and creative expertise to create outstanding customised campaigns with the wow-factor for his client’s properties.

For 10 years after completing his business studies, Gurinder did office work before setting up his own flourishing retail business. In 1998 he entered real estate and joined a local Papatoetoe firm where he became deeply involved in community activities as well as building a successful career transacting property in the Auckland area. Additionally, he managed rental properties, invested in residential homes, assisted new overseas arrivals, ran music events and was Chief Editor of a local Indian newspaper. New Zealand was calling for lifestyle and education choices for his family so he came back to South Auckland in 2020. Here, he rekindled his former real estate business – much to the delight and enthusiasm of his past clientele.

Gurinder is a creative high-energy, organised, multi-tasker who is well-known in the local Indian community for his philanthropic work and huge involvement in charity over the past 35 years. He has a great love of people and insight into what makes them tick, and with his past real estate experience and formidable talents in art and design, his bespoke marketing campaigns set him head and shoulders above the competition.

For a real estate salesperson who is well connected, community-minded, business savvy and ready to showcase your home to its best possible advantage, Gurinder is the man for the job. Please do not hesitate to give him a call to talk about making a move.

Questions

The things sellers ask Gurinder first.

Is the appraisal really free?
Yes — there's no cost and no obligation. Gurinder will walk you through what your property could achieve, based on recent local sales and current buyer demand.
What happens after I submit the form?
Gurinder will be in touch personally, usually within a business day, to arrange a time that suits you — over the phone or in person at your property.
Am I committing to anything?
No. An appraisal is information, not a commitment — there's no obligation to list with Gurinder, and none to sell at all. Plenty of people ask for one simply to understand where the market sits before deciding anything.
What's the difference between an appraisal and a valuation?
An appraisal is provided free by a licensed salesperson and reflects what the market is likely to pay right now. A registered valuation is a paid, formal assessment by an independent registered valuer, and is what banks and courts rely on. Most people selling a home need an appraisal; a valuation is usually only needed for lending or legal reasons.
